Description

A beautiful second printing of BG 105, Rick Griffin’s famous poster for The Jimi Hendrix Experience, John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers, and Albert King at the Fillmore and Winterland, February 1-4, 1968, signed by Griffin in gold paint pen.
This is likely the most sought after of all Fillmore Posters, with the quintessential Griffin image, and the fact that it’s promoting Hendrix concert. This is the second printing, BG-105-RP2, printed on glossy coated stock, with the letter “T” in Tickets obscuring the number 5 in the lower left corner.
This poster is in excellent unfaded condition, with the following minor issues: very small scuffs near the top left corner, on the left edge to the right of “A” in Albert, and the bottom right corner; a faint crease to the top left corner, a few dings to the edges, a dinged bottom left corner, a flattened 3 1/2″ crease below “Winterland,” a small crease to the bottom right corner, and a few small scattered impressions.  While not mint, it looks bold and bright, and will display beautifully when framed.  Rick Griffin has signed beautifully in gold paint pen on the right edge below Albert King’s name.
A first printing of this poster sold in 2018 for $21,000!
